Rhonnika Clifton is the CEO and Principal Designer of R J Clifton Designs, LLC, a Houston-based

interior design-build firm. With over fifteen years of experience, Rhonnika specializes in

creating unique, bold spaces and building lasting client relationships for both residential and

boutique commercial spaces nationwide. She holds a BFA in Interior Design from the Art

Institute of Houston and is an active member of several professional organizations, including

the American Society of Interior Designers, the Texas Association of Builders/Greater Houston

Builders Association, and the Greater Houston Black Chamber.

Rhonnika has earned numerous accolades, including being named one of Houston's Top 40

Under 40 and receiving the Residential Small Kitchen Renovation award from the ASID Texas

Gulf Coast Chapter in 2023, as well as the Wayfair Professional Tastemakers Design Award for

the Most Dramatic Reno in 2024. Her work has been featured on various platforms, including

local news broadcasting stations, web series, and multiple publications.

Committed to mentoring the next generation, Rhonnika has taught at Houston Community

College, founded Creative Conversations, LLC, a social & educational community for Houston

Black design professionals, and created The Educated Designer, a mentorship and coaching

program for BIPOC interior design novices & professionals. As a dedicated and motivated

designer, Rhonnika strives to deliver exceptional service to each client & designer, helping them
